How to request your Discord data package
Discord will send you a copy of the data it has on your account. It's a ZIP file with your account details, messages, servers and a log of what you've done in the app. That log is where playtime, Go Live and voice time come from.
Before you start
- Your account needs a verified email address.
- The download link goes to the email on your account when you make the request. Changing your email afterwards won't redirect it.
- You can only have one request open at a time.
- Disabling or deleting your account before the link arrives cancels the request.
1. Request it in Discord
On a computer (desktop app or browser)
- Click the gear in the lower-left corner to open User Settings.
- Open Data & Privacy.
- Under Request your data, click Request Data.
- Choose what to include. For the stats on this site, include at least Account andActivity. Messages and Servers add server and channel names.
- Submit the request.
On your phone
- Tap your avatar in the lower-right corner, then the gear in the upper-right.
- Tap Data & Privacy.
- Under Request your data, tap Request all of my data and confirm.
The phone app always requests everything; picking sections only works on a computer. Either is fine for this site. Discord's own steps, with screenshots:Requesting a Copy of your Data.
2. Wait for the email
Discord emails a download link when the package is ready. Discord says this can take up to 30 days, though it's often much quicker. The link expires after a while, so download the ZIP when it arrives.
3. Open it here
Don't extract the ZIP. Go to Open your package and drop package.zip onto the page. It's read in your browser and never uploaded.
What's inside the package
- Account: your profile, connections, badges, and lifetime playtime per game.
- Activity: large event logs (often several GB unzipped) with streams, calls and app usage.
- Messages: your messages, one folder per channel or DM.
- Servers: the servers you're in.
Discord describes every file inYour Discord Data Package.
Folder names are in the language your Discord is set to (for example Compte/ in French). That's fine: the stats page finds files by what's in them.
Why some stats might be missing
- If "Use data to improve Discord" was turned off in Data & Privacy, Discord didn't log some activity during that time, so there will be gaps.
- If you left out the Activity section, streaming and voice stats can't be shown.
